Eurex Bonds is an electronic trading platform (MTF) and provides participants with an off-exchange trading facility for wholesale cash trading in fixed income securities and treasury discount papers - being the leading platform for German Government Bonds. Also, by having networked the Eurex Bonds ®!FONT> trading platform into the settlement system of Eurex Clearing AG, a direct link between spot and futures markets is available for the first time to enable electronic basis trading of bonds via a central order book. The necessary liquidity in the bond and basis trading markets is provided by market makers.

Eurex Bonds GmbH was founded in October 2000 as a joint initiative of Eurex Frankfurt AG and leading financial institutions. The organization is a private law joint venture with the purpose of establishing and operating an electronic platform for bond and basis trading in debt issues.
