The core products traded on our platform are Government Bonds issued by national governments.

An admission to trading on Eurex Bonds is given for German Government bonds which satisfy the following criteria:

  • fixed interest securities with an outstanding volume of at least EUR 4 billion, or USD 4 billion
  • Inflation-linked bonds with an outstanding volume of at least EUR 1 billion or USD 1 billion.

Furthermore, zero-coupon German government bonds (Bubills) are admitted to trading on Eurex bonds when they satisfy the following criteria:

  • Treasury Discount Papers (Bubills)
  • Maturity of three to twelve months
  • outstanding volume of at least EUR 4 billion

For other European Government Bonds (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Spain) the following admission criteria apply:

  • Outstanding volume of at least EUR 1 billion. In the case of a trading currency other than EUR, the required outstanding volume will be determined for the respective trading currency and announced by the Management Board of Eurex Bonds.
  • "Investment Grade Rating" of Standard & Poor´s, Moody´s or Fitch (at least 2 of 3).
  • Admission for delivery versus payment between Clearstream Banking Luxembourg and Euroclear Banking Brussels.
